What is destination 39.3
destination 39.3 was started in early 2022 as a resident-led initiative to help create a greater sense of community engagement for the three hamlets of the Town of Bedford. Its moniker gives recognition to the Town’s square mileage and defines a sense of cohesiveness and integration amongst the hamlets. This dynamic new organization is united in its effort to celebrate the unique gifts and diverse communities of the Town’s hamlets while strengthening commerce, communication and quality of life in the Town.

Our Mission
To showcase the beauty, vitality and diversity of our three hamlets and promote greater Bedford as a unique place to live, work, play and explore. In particular, we are invested in improving access for and inclusivity of members of our community who are of limited economic means.
Our Town
The Town of Bedford, founded in 1680, covers 39.3 square miles of rolling hills and bucolic landscapes. There are three distinct hamlets–Bedford Hills, Bedford Village and Katonah–and each provides unique architecture, authentic experiences, and its own vibe. Our 17K+ residents relish their quiet starry nights and 8000 acres of open space, all within easy access to NYC quality theater, music and the arts. We are always on the move: Bedford boasts 91 hiking trails, 100 miles of horse trails and over 900 acres of preserves. And yet we never lose our passion for art walks through town, sidewalk sales, carnivals, farms and annual parades. Bedford, with its rich and historic past, values neighbors, local business, and diversity.
